flashback friday!

Ah, the days of sitting outside in your short terry towelling shorts, eating a sambo on the grass... I am the toothless wonder on the right, with the pigtails and short shorts! My lovely friend Fi is the one flashing her nappy, with the short hair (sooo cute!). I can still smell this day (or days like it), the smell of geraniums getting warmer in the sun, the smell of someone watering the garden (and the hot footpath!) next door.

(For those of you who aren't aware, we now have very tight water restrictions in Australia because of drought. We can only handwater on designated nights on the week according to your house number, between certain hours of the evening....times have changed!).

But I am not taking you back to pre-1985 land to talk about water restrictions...

This is all a part of the new Flashback Fridays initiated by Angela at three buttons. There are currently four bloggers involved, and you might like to check out the fabulous pre-1985 shots of Jacinta , Emma, and of course Angela. Ah, nostalgia! (I love it!!!)

Want to join us in Flashback Friday??? If so, drop me a note so we know you're in and I'll include you on our group list next week!
xx

Feeling really left out now, all your Flash Back Friday bloggers, i have 2 photos before i started school, so it would be a case of alternating them each fortnight. No fun. I take zillions of my 4 children though. Love that you write so passionately about your husband, so sweet. I've had the same one for 10 years & today he surprised me with a day off, love him, to hang out at home with the children (still on school holidays). Love your work, we don't really have any groovy op shops in Darwin, i think cyclone Tracy blew all the retro & vintage away. Happy blogging, love Posie

PS we don't have water restrictions in the Territory, our children did exactly that today, in little shorts, eating sandwiches on the grass, then a dip in the paddle pool. The neighbours have a slip'n'slide on the nature strip opposite. Do love the memory of childhood though (in Sydney) this is just as much fun though, watching my 4 live it. Love Posie

Thanks everyone for popping in!
Posie, I am sorry you don't have more photos... thankfully I have annual school photos which will get me through... mum and dad still have most of my photos as a little one.
Oh! And to set the record straight everyone, it seems that Victoria is the most strict re water restrictions at the moment.
Rain sounds lovely tantehilde!
Hoping to have you all visit again soon!
